Bates City Bbq - Missouri

Amazing BBQ every time! Been enjoying for over 20 years!

Overall it was ok. The meat was a bit dry, but good flavor and great fries

I'm always up for some bbq so I decided to try bates bbq I ordered brisket and ribs brisket was good but the ribs on the other hand were charred and hard no smoked flavored they were also drenched in bbq I always say when bbq is drenched in sauce its a way of hiding something and sure enough ribs wee horrible it'd low and slow no need to rush it 20 dollars on ribs down the drain bates bbq some advice give out bbq on the side let people decide if they want to put some on

We had supper. I ordered the brisket and pulled pork, baked beans and coleslaw. The brisket was ok, really covered with bbq sauce. I didn't know they were going to put the sauce on.. it was loaded. The pulled pork was strong, like it was going bad. The coleslaw also tasted like it was going bad. The tea was old as well. Plus, we got cookies, they were delicious. I will not got back to the Bates City BBQ

Food was great. It was our first time visiting… party of 13… We all talked about the good food, nice customers in the dining room, the leftovers we couldn't finish but will enjoy tomorrow…and really they only thing that was disappointing was the lack of personality or customer interaction with the staff… especially the kid with the red shirt and the bandaid on his face. It's nice to have human interaction… it helps makes an experience even better.
