They were offering a cheese sampling, local cheeses, which my wife loves, esp their goat and ewe cheeses. Then we sampled their olive oils, from la Rocca. Superb. Partook of their saucisson sec and more. We left poorer but ate like kings at home. Very helpful, friendly service who know their stuff. View all feedback.
What ES N doesn't like about Peches & Poivre:
Lot's of speciality items (teas, herbs, hot sauces etc) not available in regular big box stores but kind of EXPENSIVE for their uniqueness?????? Really unique or just low volume local items with less than broad appeal.....cannot answer that but suspect the latter. Nice staff but walking out for less than $30 for a couple items is hard to do. Not a restaurant...a speciality store. View all feedback.
Hidden away at the back of the store is a hidden gem the cheese section. We are lactose intolerant, so only eat goat and sheep cheese, and there is always a good selection of both. We get to taste new varieties too! The prices are very reasonable, and the service very friendly and first class. Love this place. Rodney and Judith Senior.
We walked into the shop and had a pleasant conversation with the lady who worked there. We ended up purchasing many food items, especially enjoying the variety of blue cheeses. The shop is fantastic and we love it.
This restaurant excels in making the most of its limited space. Not only can you find the perfect gift here, but it's also a delightful place to explore. They offer a variety of locally-made, handcrafted items at reasonable prices. In addition, they have a satisfying collection of food products including jams, jellies, and herbal teas.
This store has unusual mostly kitchen eatery stock with enjoyable food stuffs, linens equipment. Worth a visit when in Almonte, Ontario.
Love the local foods in this shop. Not so much the gadgets and kitchen decor. They have excellent customer service. VERY expensive so we are going to try to buy directly from local companies instead because the mark up is very high.
