First night we came the restaurant was empty which was on a Wed. evening. Returned this Sunday and it was very busy. It's a family restaurant specializing in Portuguese food. Looked like a baptism was being celebrated there that evening also. Service was very good by Rui. He even remembered the wines we chose the last time we visited. What User doesn't like about Leao D'Ouro:
We have frequented this restaurant on several occasions (even hosted a party there) but last visit was disappointing and kept us away for months. Salmon was terribly overcooked and veggies were mushy. To be fair all other meals were delicious not not sure if ownership changed and chef did also. None the less we will give it another shot once the bad memory dissipates! View all feedback.
I have been here several times, both for eat in and take out, and have been satisfied with the food and service eat timeI suggest the steak.
Best portuguese restaurant in Mississauga._My favorites are the bife a casa and bacalhao a bras. A bit pricey but definitely worth the splurge !
We really enjoyed our dinner at this place. Our server was out of this world friendly and so attentive. There were 8 in our group and we ordered dishes to share family style. I ordered three salada mistas, two Sardinhas, steamed mussels, and Camaroes Peri Peri. The starters were all delicious. These were plenty as portions were generous. The fileted sardinhas drizzled with a pepper/tomatoes olive oil compote definitely stole the show for the starters. For the mains, we shared two portions of the Frango Assado Na Braza, Carne De Porco A Alentejana, Gambas A La Plancha, Polvo Grelhado Com Molho Verde and a salmon special. All were very flavorful, however, I noticed the huge piles of potatoes in every dish. I understand the need to make the dishes look huge but the amount of potatoes used were excessive in my opinion. Hands down my favorites were the pork and the clam dish and the tender and flavorful grilled octopus.

The apps were good as were the main entrees except I think the salmon I ate was not fresh as I did have some bad side effects from it that night. They don't do anything for birthdays but said we could bring a cake when making reservations.
