I've had a LOT a delicious seafood across Canada and the U.S and this place is among the best of them. A touch expensive but that certainly doesn't mean poor value! This is not a place to just pop into for a bite. I think for such a casual visit you might want want to spend quite so much. What Julia Davies doesn't like about L.A. Boil Seafood:
I came here when they first opened and had a terrible experience. Thought maybe it was just a bad night for them, decided NOT to leave a review online to give them another try. Of course we have different taste buds and we have different taste in food too. But I prepare this restaurant than the Captain's Boil. The Shrimp is bigger and better portion, we order Shrimp, Mussel, Clams, Cajun Rice, Cajun Corn and the Dungeness Crab is to die for and the price is reasonable than Captain's Boil they even have an all you can eat salad bar which Captain's Boil does not have. They also have a menu for 2, 4 or 6 people if you want a little of everything on their menu with a fix price. Service is fast and good, no complain about that even the manager comes to you to make sure that you have everything you need and the your order was right. This is becoming one of our favourite restaurant, hopefully they would not sacrifice the integrity of their restaurant and the taste and the portion of the seafoods they serve. I give this restaurant a 5 star.
