Always have a great experience when going to Jack Astors. Food is always great and they have a great menu with many options. The drink menu is also great and there is something for everyone. Have never been disappointed when going here which is why I continue to go.
Our experience here was a really good one. All of us enjoyed our food and our server was really amazing. My son had the wings which he thought were awesome. We had the calamari. I had the fish and chips. The server suggested to us all to have gravy with our fries which we did and were so glad we did because it was so tasty!
Burgers are good. Kids meals are reasonable and tasty. The fish bowl drinks are literally fish bowl size. This is enough for 2 or 3. ..not one of you re driving:)
We were a group of 15 and when we walked in they told us 10sh and will be seated. It took them 35 min than they end up seating is a long table of 12. We were cramped, jammed on this table. I asked them to put the kids on separate table was available around us, but they refused. Service was not good. I would say this is the norm in Canada. Very laid back and lazy ppl. Our server was semi clueless. The food was a typical bar food. None of us had alcohol and only 10 ppl orders dinner, and the bill was too high for salads, burger and kids meal. Not recommended
Still our "household-regular" place to go. HOWEVER...perhaps we have gone through a stream of not so great experiences. Over the last 20+ years of going a few times a week, we believe that we have the right to point out the very FEW times when it wasn't right, as we feel that as "regulars", (when long time staff -knows your order and refers you by your first name)--we qualify to speak our mind!Customer is NO LONGER RIGHT! We see an attitude change and is wrong!Hopefully the Management is paying attention to these reviews..At times when restaurant was empty, buffalo chicken strips were cold, fries cold and soggy, the lobster and crab dip is getting smaller and smaller....
