I absolutely adore this place! It's a family-owned restaurant and the owners are incredibly friendly. I've visited at least 7 times and have always had a wonderful experience. The food is delicious and made with fresh ingredients. There is ample seating and the restaurant is well-maintained. View all feedback.
Although it is still a great place, we were disappointed to find out that they no longer offer their delicious pork bone soup, which was the main reason we would visit. It has been removed from the menu, leaving us with a sense of loss. We used to come here at least once every two weeks, but now we are on the lookout for a new restaurant that serves this beloved soup.
I went to this restaurant with my family for dinner and luckily managed to get a table before it got too busy. It seems like making a reservation is essential here. We ordered grilled mackerel, takoyaki, fried soft shell crab, black bone soup, a sushi combo set (30 pieces), and the Dai Ichi dinner with bulgogi. The grilled mackerel was flavorful, but I would recommend adding lemon for an extra refreshing touch. The soup was delicious and even better than the soups at Owl of Minerva and Song Cook’s, which was a pleasant surprise considering those restaurants are solely Korean cuisine compared to Dai Ichi, which serves a mix of Japanese and Korean dishes. The fried soft shell crab dish was tasty, although my sister found the presentation to be a bit unsettling, haha. Our biggest letdown was the sushi set. We weren't sure what it included but decided to give it a try anyway. It had a lot of tuna, which wasn't to our liking due to our personal preferences. Perhaps including more details on the menu about the dishes would help customers make more informed choices and reduce food waste.

Dai ichi has been a popular place for sushi in mississauga for years and to the top sushi places I've ever tried. dai ichi was part of the lf party and I shared many memories with family and friends here. it was always a pleasant experience and the staff was friendly and good friends throughout the years, I love coming here for their sushi and strongly recommend to try this place if they even enjoy sushi or Japanese eating! you came pungi is also amazing!
The only place I go for my sushi in Mississauga. Consistently fresh and tasty. The cuts of sashimi are the proper fish and not tilapia unlike some sushi locales. Their charashi sushi meal has perfectly seasoned rice and is plentiful with their variety of fish
