We went to Blue Lagoon to celebrate my Mom's birthday. Its famous Lobster Tower did not disappoint; it was awesome -- well-cooked and fresh. The other dishes we ordered were splendid too, like the Clams in Wine Sauce and the Steamed Green Bass. We ordered a set menu and the host even allowed us to make slight changes. My mom was against us spending too much for meals but she conceded that the price of our dinner toni... View all feedback.
What Wilton Collins doesn't like about Blue Lagoon Seafood Master:
Upon arriving for lunch we were promptly taken to a table. The best thing about our visit was the lovely room in which we were seated. The chandeliers, white tablecloths and cloth napkins were promising for a nice lunch. The large room was not crowded and there seemed to be plenty of employees. Servers seemed disinterested. This is my favorite dim sum spot, even though I live downtown. They offer small, medium, and large options for $3.00 on Saturdays and Sundays before 12pm.
This restaurant is decent. The highlight of the menu is the early morning special: small, medium, or large dishes for $2.99 before 12PM on weekdays and $3.09 on weekends.
We recently had a family dinner at this restaurant and enjoyed some of the best lobsters we've had in a long time! The Hong Kong style fried lobster was definitely a standout dish. We also tried the Maggi lobster, which was delicious as well.
We came here twice for dim sum and I have to say I was not impressed the slightest by this place. My brother lives nearby and it was the most convenient location to grab a bite.Nothing too great but the dim sum sizes were generous. Har Gow fillings were crunchy and flavorful as they should be but the skin were doughy and too thick. As for other similar dim sums, such as pea shots dumplings, xo dumplings, scallop dumplings had similar complaints - the dough too thick. Service at this place was horrible. We were given a table by the entrance to the kitchen/working area and I asked the host to put us in a different table and he refused even though half of the restaurant was empty. I was extremely disappointed.

When someone came to take our order, it was as if we were an inconvenience so we did not ask questions about the menu. I wish we had because I think we could have had a more enjoyable meal had the staff cared. Dishes were brought individually at varied intervals by different servers. Food was okay. When we finished eating we waited quite a while before asking for the check. Considering our experience lunch was expensive.
