We found this little hole in the wall restaurant in a small Chinese Shopping complex close to our hotel in Mississauga and didn't have much expectation. We were pleasantly surprised with the best steamed barramundi fish ever --- Cantonese style. We liked it so much that we ate every morsel of the perfectly steamed fish with plain rice. Ditto the superb Hakka salty baked chicken. The complimentary soup and the rarely... View all feedback.
What Milan Kuhn doesn't like about Best Friend Chinese Restaurant:
I ordered 3 take-out dishes and 2 orders of rice. One of the dishes was incorrect and I only received 1 order of rice (discovered when I arrived home). I called to complain and I was told I should have been more specific (how can you be more specific than beef chow mein?) and there was no apology for the missed order of rice. The lady on the phone then hung up on me. Charming! I called back and spoke to another lady... View all feedback.

The lady on the phone then hung up on me. Charming! I called back and spoke to another lady who offered to deliver more food to me if I lived close enough - but there was no apology for the first lady hanging up on me. I declined and won't be going back. The food was average at best.

We were pleasantly surprised with the best steamed barramundi fish ever --- Cantonese style. We liked it so much that we ate every morsel of the perfectly steamed fish with plain rice. Ditto the superb Hakka salty baked chicken. The complimentary soup and the rarely served freshly made dow fu far (tofu pudding in light syrup) were also very good. The cost of the meal was just about Canadian $46. It's a gem and I ranked it the second best meal we had on our 2-week road trip on the Toronto and Quebec region. What a pleasant discovery.
The restaurant is not fancy but the food is good. The price is not that expensive. Sometime they have lobster deal.if you pay in cash. You can check with them before ordering. And make sure before you pay remind them that you pay cash for the lobster deal.
Especially choosing from the Cash only menu, Food is good, well the noodle dishes and menu dishes for rice. Wouldn't go here for dim sum though.
Celebrated Chinese New Year with traditional Chinese food with family and friends. Great choice at reasonably price. Had two styles of Sole fish, deep fried oysters and restaurant specialty pork hog.Nothing to complain.
