What Victoria Collalilo doesn't like about Pho Big Bowl:
The staff at this restaurant are hurting the business, especially the man with glasses on the day shift that I spoke to. He didn't even check with the kitchen staff. He told me the food wasn't ready yet and I had to wait, but it turns out it had been ready for a long time and sitting on the counter since I arrived. They ignored me and made me wait for 15 minutes. I always used to come to this pho restaurant because it's the closest one to me. The portion sizes have decreased over time, making it feel more expensive than it used to be. We ordered the house special and the vermicelli, both of which were tasty. The pho broth had a good flavor and the vermicelli was enjoyable. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow. If there was another pho restaurant nearby, I would likely choose to go there instead.
This restaurant serves some of the best pho in the city. It can get very busy during lunch hours on weekdays, so it's best to visit at other times. Be sure to try their spicy satay pho – it's a must-try dish.
I have always gotten takeout from this restaurant and the food was always hot and full of flavor. This time, I decided to dine in. The restaurant was very clean and well-maintained. It was quite busy, but I can see why. The food arrived quickly. Our favorite dish is the house special pho. The broth was made perfectly with a rich umami flavor. The spring rolls were crispy and filled with plenty of meat. The BBQ chicken with vermicelli is also a must-try. The savory flavor was well-balanced with a touch of sweetness. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you're craving Vietnamese cuisine.
Generous portions at a reasonable price. The food is nutritious and expertly cooked. The exterior may not be impressive, but the menu is worth exploring if you haven't already.
I stopped in for a fast lunch and really enjoyed the food. I tried the house special pho, which was flavorful, but unfortunately the meatballs were cold. The service wasn't the best and I had to wait a long time to be served. Hopefully my next visit will be a better experience.
