Hacienda On The Lake - Mission Viejo

We requested and received a table next to the water so we could enjoy the annual boat parade. It was great, except that we were in the screaming children section. I guess they were there for the boat parade, too.

Had a wonderful dinner overlooking the lake at Hacienda on the Lake. Kadaundra our waitress was quite attentive and professional an a very personable. The food was fresh, tasty and well presented. Also the drinks from the bar were very refreshing and made to perfection. Amazing views and fantastic time. Thanks and highly recommended.

Eight people were in our group for our annual Christmas lunch. This is the second year we have held our lunch at Hacienda on the lake. Our meals were very good overall and nicely presented. Our waiter was very accommodating. There was some confusion and debate among the group and the waiter about cocktail orders, but that was quickly resolved. The reason I haven’t given five stars is that the restaurant itself is starting to look somewhat shabby. There is a fountain on the way to the downstairs tables that is not operational and detracts from the ambience in that it is partially full of dirty water and debris. Overall the parts of the restaurant that I saw could use a good cleaning and sprucing up. The ladies restroom is also rather shabby. On balance, we were pleased with the service and food, but more attention needs to be paid to the maintenance of the property.

Everything was delicious and our table next to the lake was lovely. Will be back again soon!
