The restaurant is very welcoming and offers a nice selection of dishes. The drinks are beautifully presented. I loved the vegetarian gnocchi bake I ordered, and my friend really enjoyed their Italian poutine. The prices are reasonable for the delicious food offered. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hottiesfoods Emporio:
The special dish chosen by the chef for Groupon customers is not worth leaving the comfort of your couch for. I do not plan on returning to try the regular menu. View all feedback.
Super friendly staff in a wonderfully decorated character home in the backyard of Mission. Food was excellent! Definitely worth seeking out!

No frills place. But food and service are awesome. Thursday night is open mic night. Great meeting place for some great I highly recommend it to anyone.
Had lunch here with hubby at the weekend. The service was excellent, food was delicious. Good size portions and very reasonably priced. Very casual but we loved that about it. Wanted to try the tiramisu but didn't have room.......next time! Really glad we found this place, will definitely be back. The chef took the time to ask everyone how their food was too.
It's all about the food and at Hottie's Food Emporio that food is authentic and absolutely excellent! Sauces, pastas and doughs are prepared on-site, from scratch. Top quality ingredients! The olive oil would probably cost $25 or more per litre at a typical grocery store. The Italian sausage (mild) is awesome. Real Italian coffee, too! No drip machine here; if you want regular, North American-style coffee, you will have to ask for an Americano: espresso mixed with hot water. It's great. A word of warning about their Almond Chicken con Aglio e Olio ("with garlic and oil")...it's amazing for those of us who love - really love! - garlic, It bites back! If that sounds like a little to much garlic for you, don't order that dish.Hottie's is licensed as a take-out only business, so they must serve everything in take-out containters (recyclable and compostible.) However, they do have indoor and deck seating. Also, they aren't licensed to serve alcohol. No matter. If you crave excellent, authentic Italian food, this is the place! Mama makes the tiramisu, but we were too full to try it on our first visit (despite the portions in our take-out containers appearing smallish.) Next time. You can peruse a menu at your table, but you must place your order at the coffee bar. Your order will be brought to your table.Anyone expecting food of this quality to be inexpensive is just being unrealistic. I would say the prices are moderate, which means the quality of the food puts eating here at a very high value rating.
