A wide variety of Japanese food. Cosy atmosphere. The grill is inside with a strong cooker food but may put some people off if they are sensitive to the cooking smells. View all feedback.
What John Kuppusamy doesn't like about Sanga Izakaya:
The aircon is spoilt. The place is not clean. The kitchen is untidy. There are so few customers that the young cook has time to play with his handphone. This is a branch of Kuching Sanga. Miri Sanga is a far cry from the well managed Kuching Sanga. View all feedback.
It was delicious and beautiful ~ I saw this place about a month ago when on a trip with someone and I was excited to try it out as it was an Izakaya (Japanese bar). I'm glad to say that I had a great time! The food was very delicious and wonderfully expensive. The place was very clean, the atmosphere was warm and there were many families eating there (so don't worry to bring your little ones here to dinner). I had some Yakitori (Japanese equivalent Satay), a salmon chawanmushi (savory Egg Custard) and the house special dish (Lamb Soba with a soft boiled egg). My friend, who came with me, had one of their Don dishes and a record of okonomiyaki (savory Japanese Pancakes). It cost us all around RM70. We had a pot of green tea during the meal (because I was still a little sick and on medication) but I will be sure to try their cravings, the next time you come back. I recommend others to try this place as it is clean, safe and tasty ~
The food is too salty, not suitable for elders. But it's okay. Portion is very large, also expensive.
Food wise is in great in portion despite the taste is okay for me. But however the menu has wide variety of Japanese food to try. Worth it
Good place for brunch and dinner. Cool Japanese deco and nice vibe there. The bosses all friendly and very welcoming
Sushi are extremely overpriced, why I say that their sushi are overpriced? Well, I ordered an ikura sushi which had two pieces for RM15 and the portion, MAAANNNNN, don't even get me started, it was so unfulfilling and it only gave me small amount of salmon roe each, if I ordered ikura sushi at other restaurant, the price will be more reasonable and the salmon roe will be full instead of half assed sushi that Sanga served me. I too ordered a bento which price is around RM17.50. See what I mean? Bento at RM17.50 and two piece sushi at RM15 which was underserved, what a funny pricing strategy. I can say it was still okay. Overall, Sanga is not a place for diners to order sushi.
