Went with friends, several of whom live locally (1 in Miravet), for lunch. Thanks to the beautiful weather (sunny but cool a breeze), we sat outside overlooking the River fabulous view! The variety, quality, quantity of food that came with the Plats Combinats was excellent. We had wonderful service too, though suspect having a ‘local’ in the group helped. Amazing value for money.
Very accomodating. Limited but good choice of tapas at affordable prices. Beautiful location next to the river. Would definitely recommend.
The service was terrible! We were completely ignored on the terrace for a long time by all the servers and when one of our group finally went inside to try to order drinks one of the female servers was very rude and told her we could have a drink but no food without a reservation...even though there were lots of free tables and nobody else waiting! They seem to only want locals in their restaurant! I would recommend going to the other restaurant close by on the river where the man was really nice and helpful!
I just visited Bar Amadeo and left without being served. Would not recommend it. The waitress completely ignored us beingtoutourists usuasbeitourists. WeWeBwewarraarrarrived
We crossed Ebra by an ancient one-man operated ferry, what a nice experience! We came early in the town to enjoy this little gem. We stopped here for breakfast. Don’t expect much for this place, it is usually packed with locals and they get “seniority”. A girl finally came to us, she was overwhelmed so early in the morning but she finally made time for us. She didn’t speak anything else but Catalan. A lady that spoke English from a near table came help us with ordering the breakfast as they have no menu. We had pan friend eggs with sausages and some local Serrano ham (Jamón Serrano) sandwiches. Yes, service could have been faster. The cook, an older lady was frying only 2 eggs at a time in two small pans, not fast but by far the best eggs and home sausages ever. All we had was delicious and the price for all was next to nothing, bill attached. One of my friends had the local wine, excellent he said! Actually, all the locals were having red and white wine at breakfast. The area is famous for fruit. You will be driving through plum trees, peaches, apples and nectarines orchards to get to this small town. The peaches are sooo good! Miravet is an fascinating place! Stop for food at this place if you have a chance. It will be not a quick stop, the place is small and busy but the food is great and the location is magical!. but very tasty.
