The food here is delicious. We had samosas, butter chicken and plain naan and enjoyed every bite. The staff and polite and friendly and the location is easy to access by public transport or there is plenty of parking close by. Can't wait to go back!

Murraya consistently delivers quality Indian cuisine, but their cleanliness and hygiene in the restroom leave much to be desired. The basins, urinals, toilets, walls, and doors are all dirty and unkempt. It is disappointing to see such a lack of upkeep in an otherwise reputable establishment. The broken mixer tap in the men's restroom has been in disrepair for months, which reflects poorly on the overall maintenance of the restaurant. I hope the management addresses these issues promptly.

We had an early dinner reservation at 6:30pm and arrived before two large groups that were also booked. Ordering was a bit challenging as there was only one white wine available, which was promptly brought to our table and placed in a wine bucket without being opened or poured for us. When asking about a particular dish, we were told it was cooked in a gravy, but after further questioning, a knowledgeable gentleman explained that the chicken was on the bone and listed the ingredients for us. We decided not to order that dish as we didn't want chicken on the bone. The food arrived quickly and was delicious, especially the Anjila Kozhi Curry (chicken) and Saag Gosht (lamb), which were both very tender. The lamb was an unusual vibrant green color, something I had never seen before in this dish. The naan bread was light and fluffy. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal and we will definitely be returning.

Having a child free Saturday evening, we decided to go back to Murraya after several months of not visiting. We liked this particular restaurant as they are the only local Indians that serve a Masala Dosai. We went early, as we had no reservation, well aware that Saturday evenings were always busy, and secured a table near the bar and kitchen...wrong choice given the traffic around there but not the end of the world.I didn't remember any of the wait staff, but saw a familiar face or two in the kitchens. Service wears pleasant enough to start with, but rapidly went downhill as the restaurant started to fill up. Even placing an order was a bit of a battle, and folks who were waiting for takeaways were starting to grumble about the length of time to get their food. We ordered the Murray Surprise and the Pratdi Chaat to start, and both of us had the Dosai as main courses. The Surprise (lamb minced and made into sausages) was ok, not as good as usual, but the Pratdi Chaat was the real surprise. The menu states a yoghurt topping, but in reality it was a large bowl of yoghurt, with some crispy / soggy bits and pieces stirred through it...not nice any all and a wrong choice for us. Both dishes came at different times. When the main courses finally arrived 40 minutes after we had finished, they too arrived separately. My wife's looked ok, but as she got stuck into it, it was clear that the Dosai wrapper was close to have being burnt, but the filling was ok. Mine arrived and was the same, and if it wasn't for the time it would have taken to get a replacement we would have sent them back. We left much of the wrapping. While we had waited for the food to arrive, it was clear that the service had fallen off a cliff, and people at different tables were getting unhappy with the time to deliver food to the tables, to get drinks, etc. We even had to chase a waitress down at a table to get our bill. It's a real shame, as Murraya was the best Indian restaurant around our part of Sydney - no longer, and we won't be back.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, with fresh and flavorful dishes that are rich in spices and have an interesting texture. However, the decor is a bit plain and the lighting is too bright, which detracts from the overall atmosphere. The staff is friendly and efficient.
