We arrived for lunch at 6 o'clock on Friday and the restaurant was very busy with a lot of big groups. After 15 minutes, our order of 12 pieces of chicken, fries, and coleslaw arrived. The chicken looked greasy but was cooked well and very flavorful. The fries were a bit overcooked but the coleslaw was delicious. View all feedback.
What Jeanne Boyer doesn't like about Dixie Lee Family Restaurant:
Had a large poutine. It had little cheese and sauce and the quantity of fries was less compare to the other Dixie Lees in the province (I travel for work for 8 years and had the chance to try them all). Was disappointed and never went back because for this until I needed some salads. Again, very disappointed as I asked for large which ended up being mediums elsewhere (only found out after I got them). Waited over 20... View all feedback.
We ordered the pladder special, 2 fish 4 shrimp, fries. Very quick ordering and serving. Food very tasty. Would eat here again for sure.
Food was ok. Service was slow. Building inside and out looked a little run down. If you like Dixie Lee you will probably like this, but I will not be back.
Can't go wrong with Dixie Lee ..... Love the chicken and their fish is awesome too! Staff is friendly and dinning area is bright and clean. Never had a bad meal here yet!
Welcome to the maritime's BEST kept secret Fried Chicken Chain Restaurant. This is the one place i go every time i go home to visit my parent/friends. Chicken Poutine is one of the best you'll ever have. Scallops, shrimps are to die for. Get your family a bucket of chicken with fries and gravy. You'll love it.
I didn't look at the menu long enough, so I ended up only getting a 2-piece meal & fries (no gravy or slaw). The chicken was tender and juicy. They had very generous portions of fries. I would go again the next time I pass through the area.
