Great little mini golf course! Very good price, and very friendly staff. Did have to wait for someone to come out from the bar. We could get to all the necessities to play, and we're going to get started with every intention of paying when someone came out, but the nice girl came out as we were getting ready to start the first hole. Afterward, the kids were hungry and thirsty, so we went inside to grab something, but... View all feedback.
What Corey King doesn't like about The Surf Grill:
The owner is a dictator who thinks his way is the only way. Surprise, this ain't one of your strip clubs. And all your employees fear you, the don't respect you. View all feedback.

On a positive note, the bartenders were friendly and quick with the drink orders, and the other patrons were nice too. Sadly, that's where the positives end. When I walked in, it felt like the air conditioning was broken or turned off, which made it uncomfortable to enjoy drinks, forcing me to step outside for fresh air. The prices and quality of the drinks were just average. The karaoke host was a major disappointment. He allowed someone to handle his equipment while drinking beer, which felt very unprofessional. I put my name in to sing and waited—and waited some more. I watched as my name kept getting pushed down the list and people went up to sing multiple times before I even got a turn. Some singers who were listed never even showed up, and I know them personally, which was frustrating. Finally, I got my chance to sing about 30 to 45 minutes after I was originally scheduled. At that point, I was so irritated that I decided to cash out and leave. Another customer approached me to say he would speak to the karaoke host, confirming that he had also been skipped. When he talked to the KJ, the response was an angry announcement about the number of singers and the need for patience. It’s one thing to have a lot of performers, but when friends go up twice before I have my one turn, that’s unacceptable. If you’re busy, the KJ should prioritize getting paying customers on stage instead of singing themselves. What a shame! I could have overlooked the heat and average drinks, but not the reason I came in the first place. I know that AJs Good Times provides the entertainment, but since The Surf hired them, they should be accountable. I spent about $70 there, but I would have easily spent $200 or more if I’d stayed all night—definitely a financial loss for the business. I’m very disappointed that this place and its entertainment didn’t meet my expectations, especially since it's close to home, and I would have frequented it with friends on karaoke nights. However, it seems like if you're a regular patron or know the KJ personally, you might enjoy it more. I won’t be returning. What a shame.
I really enjoy this place—it’s conveniently located near my home. The burgers are fantastic, the staff is friendly and cheerful, and the music is great. I feel right at home on that couch!
