Was Annette Hovey at Bob's Java Hut a mag?
We have been going to Bob's for 20 plus years for weekend coffee. This is our most favorite coffee shop in the Twin Cities. We usually come on motorcycles and enjoy watching other bikes roll in. The staff are always pleasant and make an excellent dark chocolate mocha drink. My son gets Sebastian Joe's ice cream, the Sea Salt Caramel, every visit, yummm... The fact they let our four-legged friends come inside certainl... View all feedback.
What Iam Germane dislikes about Bob's Java Hut:
Motorcycle-themed coffee shop. Kind of pricey and no comfortable chairs to be had. Best looking thing about the place are the motorcycle parked out front and the occasional dog visitor.... woof, woof!! View all feedback.

Mostly the nicest barristas you could ask for. Prices are comparable to other coffee shops in uptown, so they are slightly overpriced, but so is everything now. Always good tunes rolling inside the old-school racer aesthetic interior. Personally, i only get basic coffee drinks like lattes or cold brews, but the creativity with their specialty drinks is commendable (they sound delicious too). Fully recommended ?
Service was good. I thought the Gibraltar I had was pretty average--stale and little burnt. Not the fault of the barista though.
It’s really disappointing to see a local business—one that I used to love—become so focused on making money that it forgets to foster a community atmosphere. I completely support local businesses, but I think it’s worth noting that my partner did order something, and I have frequented many establishments where it’s perfectly acceptable for one person in a group not to order anything—especially when they’re not interested. Overall, my experience at Bob’s Java Hut was extremely frustrating and discouraging. I typically don’t take the time to write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. As a person of color, I didn’t feel comfortable or welcomed being confronted in such a passive-aggressive manner by a middle-aged white woman. One would hope that working in the service industry would equip someone with better people skills, but it’s clear that there’s significant room for improvement. Do yourself a favor and head down the street to Caffetto, where you’ll find a much more welcoming community.
This is a cozy and comfortable coffee shop that never fails to impress us every time we visit.
**Bob’s Java Hut: A Mixed Bag of Community and Coffee** Nestled in Uptown, Bob's Java Hut has long been a beloved local spot for coffee enthusiasts, particularly those on motorcycles. While many patrons appreciate its inviting, dog-friendly atmosphere and friendly baristas, recent experiences suggest a shift in priorities, with some feeling a decline in the welcoming community vibe. Complaints include the cashless payment policy and a perceived focus on profit over customer comfort. However, for loyal visitors, the rich coffee offerings and vibrant environment continue to resonate, embodying a classic coffee shop experience. For now, it remains a favorite, albeit with some room for improvement.

My sister used to live in Uptown and highly recommended this place 10-15 years ago. Finally visited for the first time last night and was not disappointed. Great coffee; great shop.
Great coffee, great staff, great people. I will definitely be back there the next time I'm in the neighborhood.
My husband and I frequently visit Bob's, whether we're on our motorcycle or not! The atmosphere is warm and family-oriented. All the baristas, including the owner, are friendly and welcoming, and they know us by name. They’re also dog-friendly, offering free dog biscuits, which is fantastic! My personal favorite drink is the chai, whether hot or iced, and I love to add espresso (which they call an "oil change"). The chai is made from a special recipe crafted by one of the baristas, and I always order it the same way... extra chai-eeeee!

I love the vibe at Bob's. One of my favorite local spots on a warm day when they open the front window area!
Awesome motorcycle themed coffee shop to stop and have a drink. Great coffee and service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Told my dad I got an oil change. He's so proud. All Joel's aside, the oil change is fantastic my go to. Hot or iced! It's pretty loud for a cafe, in my opinion, but I acknowledge I am pretty noise-sensitive. I like the aesthetic enjoy the different options. Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
