I'm not a local, but while I was shopping, I asked around for a good place to eat. I'm not sure why, but the locals didn't mention this restaurant. However, I want to know why, because our meals were delicious! The honey and satay were especially good! View all feedback.

The pasta was simply microwaved and served directly from the microwave.
She then informed us to come back in half an hour because they weren’t starting service yet, which was fine as we planned to grab some drinks beforehand. When we returned, we were directed to the already-set table and told to get our own menus from the counter. As we were looking through the menus, the same woman approached us to say that they were out of chicken except for one option with very limited availability. Given that the menu mainly features chicken dishes, this is inexcusable. We ordered from the few remaining options, and when the food arrived, it was quite disappointing. The Garlic Bread consisted of four store-bought garlic breadsticks that had just been heated under the grill. The Cheesy Garlic Bread was the same, but with some grated cheese added on top. The Carbonara was a greasy mess with a split sauce and was topped with cheddar cheese, suggesting it had been microwaved. The Beef Schnitzel was a decent size but was overcooked and tough, like leather. The garlic sauce for the schnitzel was flavorless—definitely not worth the money. The Garlic Cheese Pizza from McCain’s was equally uninspired. As for vegans, don't even think about it. When we inquired about modifying a dish to exclude certain items to make it vegan, they either couldn't or wouldn't accommodate us because it was "too difficult." If there was a zero-star option, I would give it to them. I will certainly avoid this restaurant in the future, especially considering they ran out of chicken during what is likely the busiest weekend of the year. Did they not consider popping next door to the supermarket to buy some extra chicken to tide them over?
I read the other two reviews and was shocked, as my MANY experiences are the complete opposite!! We go to Sammies about once a month, the food is great, prices are cheap, the staff are friendly and helpful... the only down side is that it can be a little noisey with lots of people in there : Their pizza's are so good we will often take one home for midnight munchies... We have been going to Sammies for years...and will continue to do so. Cheers
