The Little Brown Barrel - Minersville

My wife and I went for my birthday. We went based on reviews, but for some reason it never occurred to me that the name suggested an outstanding selection of bourbons and craft beers.I got into a bourbon conversation with a bartender named Steve, who I later discovered was the owner. Very knowledgable. And incredibly friendly and hard-working.After I discovered that the Pappy Van Winkle 15 year was out of my price range, he suggested a couple of more reasonable alternatives. I had two, and then finished with a nice stout beer I'd never had. Dinner was delicious. I started with the lobster bisque, while my wife had the squash soup. Both were very very good. As an entree, I got the sesame tuna. I asked for it rare, and was told that's what they do (and should). My wife raved about the tavern chicken panini, which she paired with a chardonnay. Friendly service, great atmosphere, delicious food and an excellent bourbon and craft selection. This was my first visit here, but certainly won't be my last.

Awesome time. Great beer selection and food was great. Steak was cooked perfectly and had tons of flavor. Will be back often.

This place was recommended to us so we stopped over to try their breakfast. The food was so delicious it really blew us away and the atmosphere was so great. The waitress was really friendly and sweet as was the owner/chef. He was so kind and accommodating to us which we really appreciated very much. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and was just all around a really great guy. If you haven't checked this place out yet we highly recommend it!! Great food and great people ? We will definitely be returning!

What a great little pub. The bar had lots of selections of beer wine and special cocktails. The food was delish. My husband got the tuna and it was gorgeous! It was a great detour for our long trip home. The staff was friendly and attentive. Hope we can go back!!

Fantastic experience! Stephen, the owner/chef, was great and really should open another restaurant on the Mainline!!
