Read more about this place is a foodie site on FB, so I thought I would try. I had the shrimp andouilie gumbo, and the woman had a wild mushroom pack. The gumbo was as good as anyone I ever had, the maize bread, maybe the best. My wife loved the packaging. We will return to try the rest of the menu soon. I'll bring friends because this place is too good not to share. View all feedback.
What Pierre King doesn't like about The Farmer's Wife:

The steak was huge (we couldn't believe the size of the thing) and was good. But they gave my husband a butter knife and when he asked they gave him a huge knife). I went to Farmer's Wife for dinner with my friends, and our visit has become our new reference point for a bad restaurant experience.
I think this place might just be our new favorite little restaurant in the whole city! I had lunch in here the other day -- and it was so good I had to
Crab dip was subpar but steamed shrimp was awesome. Server never cleared the table before bringing out more food. Then the runner looked confused when I asked her to remove the dirty plates first. My husband noticed the building was under negative air pressure caused from Kitchen hood exhaust (kitchen saloon doors sucked in) causing hot humid exterior air to rush into the restaurant when the exterior doors would open. Sit away from doors if you want A/C. Outdoor seating looked nice and led to long pier on the water.
Great staff friendly fast service great location the drinks were just right
Took my daddy for the first time for Father's Day and he loved it! !!!
