Solly's - Milwaukee

We went around lunch time and waited 45-minutes to be seated and another 15-minutes to get a round of menus and water. Ww had two adults and a child. This place is pretty small and is seemingly always in demand. We wanted to see for ourselves if they really have the best butter burger... I don't think so! The amount of butter they put on the burger is way more than I ever imagined and that I was prepared for. As a generally healthy person who doesn't eat out a lot, I didn't feel very well after indulging in all of the salt and fat. However, it's a must try if you come to Milwaukee to say you tried it. Now that I've tried it, I likely won't return. If you're a parent with child, please note there's no kid's menu or smaller portions. There's just large and larger.

Unbelievable burger. It was so smothered in butter, it didn’t need any condiments. My double cheeseburger was $19 and my daughter’s single cheeseburger was $7.50. My 9 year old daughter said, “This tastes like heaven.” As amazing as it all is, I don’t think it would be healthy to eat on a consistent basis.

Kim was our server,she was great. This was my first time here. Everything was great. Too bad it took 60yrs to finally have a famous Solly burger.

Exactly what you want in a counter service burger place. Best burger in Milwaukee.

There hashbrowns are some of the best I have ever had. Only negative I would say is their bacon is as thin as paper, but was yummy non the less.
