Decent.. Despite mixed reviews of the joint, I purchased a Groupon for John Hawk's Pub and checked it out. I wasn't disappointed, but it's not a place I'd frequent. We went on a Monday evening, so it wasn't super busy, but the server was friendly and our burgers were pretty good. Food was decent at best. Service was very lousy. The pub was practically empty when we arrived, but we endured very long wait times to receive our food and drinks. The restaurant does provide a nice relaxed atmosphere with cleanliness. Over all not a bad place to visit, but by no means a top of the list restaurant. View all feedback.
Good fish fry! Got the walleye and was very good. Didn't expect the breading when they say it's pan fried. Tots are solid. Good to go boxes
Didn?t try the food but looks amazing! Staff is super friendly and accommodating!! We are from out of town and felt like a local here! Will be back when we are in the area again! Thanks Jess!! She?s an amazing bartender!! Got to meet one of the owners as well and he was equally accommodating and friendly!
Terrible experience! Place was out of hand with locals basically running the place. Had $183 stolen off machine and obvious perpetrator was tweaked and bartender did nothing. Have gone and spent a lot of money at that place but now it?s become a scary and disgusting place. Really sad.
Been hear couple of times with friends that leave near by. Prior to last Saturday, I had good service there. But because of the last Saturday I won't be back. Because of the bartender was drunk behind the bar. The wait time was long unless you were a regular there. Bartender put all of my drinks on one of my friends tap and when my friends were trying to figure out why there tap was so high, one of the regulars started a fight with them. The bartender didn't wanted to listen to anyone unless it was a regular. Definitely won't come back here again.
Aliota's Pub Grill This was my first time trying Aliota's and it unfortunately did not live up to my expectations. We ordered the mac cheese with chicken, which was pretty good and a good portion size. We ordered the sampler rolls along with a pub burger. The pub burger, while ordered to be a medium well, had more of a burnt charcoal type taste. The packaging they use is does not keep the items warm, as by the time I got home with them they were all a very low level warm. The fries did not hold up and become moist in the container. The rolls definitely tasted like they were frozen and deep fried. Overall I bet their food tastes great after a few beers... but definitely not as a dinner destination location. 3 stars
