The food and drinks are fantastic! My husband and I make it a point to visit weekly because the flavors are simply delicious. It's also a great option for those with dairy or nut allergies. Plus, the service is excellent! View all feedback.
What moh alt doesn't like about East Garden Chinese:
The food was hit or miss; some dishes were enjoyable, while others fell short. I also found something floating in my water. There were two of us, and they added a 20% service charge to my bill, which I found surprising. Additionally, the staff were not particularly friendly. View all feedback.
Standard in our take out rotation. David and his family/ staff are so nice. Great service, solid food. The chon qing chicken is a favorite. Egg rolls good and cold sesame noodles never disappoint. Food is always hot.
Only been here once but, this place gets flying colors for their Pork Kim chi alone! What an interesting and well done dish! The broccoli that came with it wasn't exciting, but that was fine b/c it seemed healthy. Everything else was flavored well and super fun. That was my husband's meal. I had the moo goo gai pan. Very good indeed. Just what you'd want not amazing but not bad. Just good. The wonton soup left something to be desired, and the bubble tea was more tea than taro flavor, but it was a good experience and I'd certainly return.
Food always good.. I start order from East Garden about a year ago n' they haven't let me down yet. The Best Chinese food and Milwaukee right now.
I can't believe I have never written a review for the fantastic East Garden! I discovered this restaurant while attending grad school at UWM it was recommended to me one day when I had to fulfill my never ending craving of Chinese food. This was over 10 years ago now, and I have been a repeat customer since. Food is delicious it always tastes fresh, is served very hot (I can order pickup and it is still really hot when I get it home , and the menu is extensive. My go tos are definitely crab rangoon, shrimp egg foo young (ugh it is SOOOOO GOOD! , and my husband won't order anything but the Singapore Noodles. The sesame chicken, chicken lo mien, and beef with broccoli are also among the favorites. It's also nice you can customize food (such as no onions in the lo mien . We have been ordering over the phone and picking up (contactless , the staff is so friendly and have never gotten an order wrong. Absolutely wonderful and delicious! 5 stars!!!!
I have driven past this place many times and today I would stop for carry out so I phoned in an order. I have my favorite Asian dishes but today I would order something that I wouldn't normally order and I opted for beef Lo Mein with an egg roll. Here we go as I picked up my order the woman said pork Lo Mein and egg roll which I quickly corrected her with beef. She actually questioned me if I'm sure I said beef and not pork so I played the phone call back to her and she remade my order. The place itself was nice looking and clean but dated and completely empty for lunch so now I'm wondering if I chose the wrong place. I still wonder why Asian restaurants are empty because I see it all the time, has society reduced Asian restaurants to take out for the most part ?. The egg roll was tasty and better than average but not that great egg roll that I'm in search of. Since I have not had Lo Mein in forever I couldn't remember exactly what it was and I barely remember what chop suei is I'm in for a surprise. The beef Lo Mein didn't look like much because it was mostly thick noodles, very little beef with a few shreds of green onion and fewer carrot shreds so all noodles mostly. To my surprise it was tasty with good flavor, the noodles were sticky/long al dente. The beef was tender but it was mostly shreds. They were pretty skimpy on the beef and I eventually got tired of eating mostly noodles. Although the beef Lo Mein was good I probably wouldn't order it again because I like more meat/vegetable dishes not mostly noodle dishes. I would definitely try one of my favorite dishes from the menu next time.
