I just read an article online about this place. I'm a fan of Indian food but truly never tried Indian desserts. Boy am I glad I drove here! My favorite were the bright orange glazed treats. They taste like a deep fried funnel cake in pure honey. You can never go wrong with the baklava. All of that for $10. I'll have to come back for their curry! View all feedback.
What Frankie Kuvalis doesn't like about Bombay Sweets:
The older lady at the counter was extremely rude! She let me know when my order was ready, I kept my food tray on my table and was heading back to pay and she started to shout at me that I had not paid yet.. I told her that I was coming over to pay and she was making angry expressions..The AC was off the whole time and it was crazy hot..The food was below average.. they use the same chana gravy for everything. Ordered $25 worth the food from here and it was all completely spoiled at least two weeks old.
Large large menu with many vegan options. really cheap. super authentic. order them at the counter and they call them when their order is finished. never busy, many seats. you eat comes on one-way plates, so it is not unusual or pretentious. it's just good eating! can be spicy, so watch and let them know if you want something mild. I had like a gazillion court from here, but I always get the idli sambhar or one of the dosas, because, as far as I have found, this is the only place in milwaukee, where you can get either of it, and these are just my all-time favorite Indian food. they have the most beautiful fall of snacks and bakery. there are no vegan options in bakery case, but if they are vegetarian, they need to try their jalebi (they see as small orange funnel cake.)
We have takeout and their online order was very easy! eating was absolutely delicious and super cheap.
Perfectly cubed. delicious. the only part was styrofoam plates and plastic goods for utensils (all on landfill
I really love Bombay Sweets. Nice menu selections and reasonable prices. Not greasy at all like some other places. My favorites are the dosas and the samosa chat.
