Bit busy but that's expected from such a good fish and chip shop. Vegan and vegetarian options are really good specially the parsnip bites. Definitely recommend eating here. Plus local park just short walk to sit and eat at and kids can play after. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Walnut Tree Traditional Fish Chips:
The restaurant has significantly increased their prices, now charging £3 for a portion of chips which is outrageous. They can purchase 5kg of buffalo for the same price, making it unjustifiable. Paying £3 for a portion of chips is unacceptable, and I will not be returning. View all feedback.
Coeliac friendly, eaten here multiple times with no problem. Lovely food!
This is the best cooked cod we have ever tasted! It is always moist and never overcooked. The chips are made from scratch, not store bought, as far as we can tell. They offer a variety of gluten-free options, so we usually order chips, fish, and curry sauce. Occasionally, we also try the sausages.
I recently discovered this amazing fish and chip shop that really pays attention to their gluten-free menu. They have a wide variety of options, which made it difficult for me to choose what to order. In the end, I decided on the cod and chips with a side of gluten-free mushy peas. I will definitely be returning before the end of the year.
I have eaten at this restaurant three times now and have never gotten sick. They have a separate fryer for those with Celiac disease, as well as separate tongs and cooking area. They even put a gluten-free sticker on your food and give it to you separately from the rest of your family if they are not gluten-free. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
The fish and chips were excellent. They have a separate fryer for gluten-free options, which made me feel very reassured.
