The Swan Inn - Milton Keynes

Three of us went for Sunday roasts. We hadn't been to the Swan for some time. It's a nice venue with a good atmosphere. Service was OK. My wife and I had the beef roast. The meat was thick cut and tough. Probably could have done with a steak knife. My wife explained to the waitress that she couldn't eat it. The lady offered to replace the beef, which she did. The new meat was better, but still a challenge to cut. My meat wasn't as tough as my wife's so I persevered with it. The Yorkshire was a bit burnt and hard. The stuffing balls were nice, but should come as part of the meal, rather than having to pay extra. Overall we were disappointed with our meal. Three roasts and a bottle of wine came to £93 before adding a tip. This is very expensive for what is mediocre food. You're charging premium rates for what is chain-pub food

Great pub with lovely atmosphere and friendly service. Food was good; I enjoyed the beef brisket pie and my partner had the duck which he liked but noted that the fondant potatoes were very dry and he struggled a bit to cut his food in the bowl they served it in (perhaps a plate would be better? . But otherwise enjoyed and will be back!

Outstanding pub and setting, well decorated and kept throughout and a lovely garden. Superb service, very attentive bar and restaurant staff polite, courteous, well natured and good humoured. Our kids were made to feel welcome here. Really good food too and a great selection of ales, beers, wines, gins, whiskies bourbons. We've been here before and really must make a point of coming again!

We visited here for the 1st time for Sunday lunch in February 23. We will 100% be returning. The food was amazing. We couldn’t fault the staff or service. Everything was fantastic! Well done to all.

I had the chance today to try a double burger and a steak. My preference was Medium to well done and I tried it with peppercorn sauce. Both plates were delicious. In terms of value for money, I find that it is a little bit more expensive than average. Also both dishes had very few potatoes. However if quality is your primary criterion then I would definitely recommend it. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is excellent.
