The location near the canal we were traveling on made going here an easy choice. Everything about the menu, food quality, and service was pretty much standard pub fare. Portions ever so slightly smaller and service a bit better than average.

Lovely pub, great atmosphere. Supper club is available on weekends from 8-10pm if you are out drinking and get peckish.

We attended a lunchtime wake here, and found the pub eventually tucked off the beaten track. The staff were very friendly and there was plenty of outside seating in the scorching temperatures. The queue at the bar was quite long but they got through everyone fairly quickly. The buffet they laid on was just excellent no shortage of food here. Would like to return on a different occasion.
