While its ambiance is inviting and dog-friendly, service can occasionally falter, with reports of long wait times and mixed experiences regarding food quality. Diners have praised standout dishes like the beer-battered haddock and superb mussels, though some menu items have faced availability issues. Despite occasional service shortcomings, friendly staff and picturesque views create a welcoming atmosphere. Ideal for a casual bite or drink after a walk, the pub remains a favored local spot, though a little patience might be required.
We were pleasantly surprised on New Year's Day when we were expecting just coffee and a slice of cake after our wet walk. Instead, we enjoyed a delicious meal of Thai green curry and fresh mussels and chips. Both dishes were extremely tasty and the staff were very friendly. The food was served quickly.
A big thank you to the “dream team” Andrew, Laurence and Paul for their warm welcome in the pub. Cooking us your amazing meals on our 10 day holiday in Sallilors.Cottage next door. You are the best….Terry Nina Harlow Buckley
Fantastic lunch after a lovely walk around Dinas Head.. One of our best ever lunches, battered fish and chips was superb, Mussels simply excellent, managed to get the last chicken burger with an onion bhaji!!! My wife and 5 daughters just loved it. Dog friendly with free doggy snacks, great beers on tap!! Very friendly staff, we will be going back!!
Gorgeous little pub in a stunning location! Visited for lunch after walking Dinas Head. We had our 2 dogs with us. It’s dog friendly inside but we sat outside to enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful view across the beach. Had the mussels which tasted so fresh! And great fish n chips. Yes, there is a long queue for the bar and food takes a while to come, but the gorgeous place and friendly staff make it totally worth it.
After a cliff top walk we stopped for lunch here, it's a beautiful spot and the weather was great so we ate lunch outside. We both tried the beer battered haddock, chips and peas. We don't often eat fish and chips as it's nearly always a huge portion that is swimming in a pool of grease. This was the nicest battered haddock that we've had, light, tasty and barely a trace of grease on the plate. So it has to be a 5 from us.
