While some patrons enjoy a flavorful breakfast and commend the friendly staff, others lament the inconsistent service and frequent stock shortages. Long wait times for orders mar the dining experience, particularly when items are missed or served lukewarm. Many appreciate the generous portions and value for money, especially with standout options such as full breakfasts and comforting hot drinks. Despite its shortcomings, the café’s cozy atmosphere and hardworking staff make it a tempting choice for those seeking a casual meal in the area.
Tried to order a gingerbread latte, a melting Santa hot chocolate and a honeycombe hot chocolate only to be told there was no hot chocolate available. We then changed our order to 2 gingerbread lattes and 1 white coffee. 15 minutes later the assistant bought the coffees. There was no gingerbread man and no cream as per the photo. I asked him about the gingerbread man and he went away and asked. The other assistant shook her head but the guy never at any point came to tell us they didn’t have any. In the meantime we took a sip and, while the gingerbread lattes were tasty, they were warm at best. We got a refund as I didn’t see why I should pay the full amount for no cream and no gingerbread man even if it had been hot.
They make you wait for ages and they break plates and trip up when walking. The food also came in a half-assed state and was burnt in some areas. The table that I sat on also had a bit of graffiti on it, indicating that someone may have committed a small crime there. Overall, this place sucks like a dead cow. If you want to go to a good cafe around there, check out the one in IKEA or the 2-in-1 McDonald’s and KFC combo just down the road.
Would not normally review a Tesco cafe, but every time I pop in here it is really nice, coffee is lovely, food always good and the staff very hard working and friendly efficient service.
Excellent facility . Clean , well spaced , nice furnishing and food at good value . For a cafe it was a pleasurable experience.
We come here a few times when shopping but we are going to go to asda for our shopping and cafe because its so much better. The menu and price are pretty good but they never have much of the items in stock (no chilli today) and the service is incredibly slow.
