The best coffee but the service and cleanliness lets it down. Busy Saturday,queue out of the door 2 out of 3 tills open. Tables not cleared and those that are are dirty. I can see everyone is working hard, maybe more staff needed. View all feedback.
The service at this restaurant was incredibly rude and unpleasant. I witnessed some of the staff mocking and laughing at customers, which was totally unacceptable. One server seemed uncomfortable, but the behavior was still obvious and disrespectful. I am grateful that the customers didn't seem to notice, but I was appalled by the lack of professionalism. I can't imagine how the staff would treat customers if they were aware of the behavior. This experience was shocking and disappointing. Despite the convenience of this cafe, I will never return. When I passed by a few hours later, the table we had sat at still hadn't been cleared, even though we had left hours earlier.
I recently visited Caffè Nero in Milton Keynes shopping centre and had a terrible experience. Despite there being 6 staff members behind the counter, I waited for over 20 minutes with only 2 customers (including myself) in line. When I asked the female manager (a short Italian woman with heavy makeup) if there was anyone else available to help me quickly due to my hypoglycemia, she rudely claimed they were all "training" even though most of them were regular staff I had seen before. She then made snide comments to her colleague and ignored me. I do not recommend this branch of Caffè Nero and suggest going to the nearby Costa instead, where the staff are more attentive and less hostile. This was one of the worst cafe experiences I have ever had. I have also complained to Caffè Nero's head office, though I doubt any action will be taken to improve customer service in the future. Avoid this branch if you want a pleasant experience.
The missing item was not included in the order, the food was not heated as requested, the wrong type of milk was put in the coffee which was unacceptable for someone who is lactose intolerant.
When on a visit to MK recently, we again popped in to Nero a few times for a coffee and bite. despite the Christmas rushes, the staff were always fantastic and cheerful. Queues quickly disappeared and staff had a chirp or two for waiting customers. Everybody worked well as a team and the food was constantly being replenished so nothing seemed to go out of stock. Despite the crowd and mess customers made, staff were quick to clean up, remove dirty dishes and wipe down tables. Food is always fresh, cakes delicious, and coffee hot and full of flavour. This has to be one of my favourites anywhere. Well done guys and keep up the fantastic work. We will see you again when next in MK.
Really disappointed that there was NO gluten free options for cakes.... not on in this day and age. Needless to say we went elsewhere!
