What GreyWagtail doesn't like about Cowpers Oak:
We live relatively locally. Had been here a while ago and enjoyed it, thought it was 'posh ' given its rural, gentrified location. Came again with family today as it was my wife 's birthday. Slowish service, 5 things unavailable that we asked for. Insipid, dry, unfresh food. Some meat undercooked. Think we may have got better at the wacky warehouse. Friendly waitress, but mucky white trainers. Overpriced. We will not... View all feedback. What Recuttbarbers likes about Cowpers Oak:
Came across this superb pub today, and what find. Situated in the middle of a beautiful film set village, it is a real gem. Friendly staff, and brilliant landlord who really knows his cars. Great to talk to. This pub is how an English pub should be. Spot on View all feedback.

read moreA charming countryside pub with mixed reviews on food quality. While some diners were disappointed by tough beef and raw broccoli, others raved about the delicious homemade meals, especially the chicken burger and chicken chorizo pie. The atmosphere is cozy, the service friendly, and the staff accommodating to dietary restrictions. The smoky ribs and comfortable rooms received high praise, making it a hidden gem worth visiting. Despite some inconsistencies, the traditional pub offers a warm ambiance and tasty dishes, making it a recommended spot for a relaxing meal in a quaint village setting.
