Contribute FeedbackCafé Rouge at the Hub has garnered mixed reviews from diners. While many praise the friendly staff and the quality of food, particularly the ribeye steak, service inconsistencies have surfaced, especially related to reservations often mishandled by OpenTable. Guests experienced slow service, with drinks and meals taking too long to arrive, leaving some feeling disappointed. The ambiance also received criticism, particularly regarding temperature. While the overall dining experience remains enjoyable for regulars, concerns about food temperature and value for cocktails were noted. Many patrons express hope that the restaurant maintains its high standards on future visits.
Decent restaurant with occasional background music. Prices are a bit high.
I had a great experience at Café Rouge at the Hub! The staff were very friendly, even though Open Table failed to inform them of our New Year's Eve booking. Unfortunately, we were not aware that there was a set menu for the evening, so the usual starters we were looking forward to were not available, which was disappointing. Next time, I will make my reservation directly with Café Rouge and skip Open Table.
The only problem was the value of a mocktail we had a driver who chose a berry drink which came out as a glass of summer fruits with two raspberries and ice and served in a beaker, i guess cost 10p to produce and sold for over £3.50 unfortunately this is what i will remember of the experience
This was our third visit to this restaurant. The appetizer was good, but two out of the three main courses we ordered were only lukewarm, and the fish cakes were a bit dry. This was the least enjoyable experience we have had here so far, but it may have been due to the timing of our reservation.
Fairer place with background music time to time. a little expensive.
