Great place to go when you have three hungry teen boys! Tons of food, good value. Salad and breadsticks are a staple. The chicken parm is hands down best I've had. Huge piece of chicken, juicy, nice breading, delicious tomato sauce and topped with cheese! Can barely get through the spaghetti that comes with it. View all feedback.
What Greg Roach doesn't like about East Side Mario's:
The food was fantastic. The service terrible. We were seated by one person who took our drink order. Our order was taken by another, food delivered by someone else. No offer to refill the all you can eat salad and bread. Nobody asked how our meal was. At the conclusion, we asked for our bill. The person we asked then took a phone call for several minutes and then went to the back. Ten minutes later we had to ask some... View all feedback.
After the long weekend in May, my experience at this restaurant was less than satisfactory. The temperature inside was uncomfortably warm despite all the doors being open. It took 25 minutes for someone (who was not our assigned waiter) to take our order after we sat down. We specifically chose this restaurant for the magician entertainment for the kids, but unfortunately, the magician did not visit our table. Our 3-year-old was disappointed at not seeing any magic, especially since we had mentioned in our reservation that we were celebrating his 3rd birthday. Despite this, there was no acknowledgment or birthday wishes from the staff. It was a letdown for our child who had been looking forward to seeing the magician.
Really enjoyed it but the noise level was elevated and made it difficult to have a conversation or to understand our server. Service and food were excellent overall and we would have no hesitation in coming back.
We had dinner at the Milton east side Mario’s on a Tuesday night. It wasn’t busy, but it was very loud. But we find this with all east side Mario’s due to the lay out. We were in a booth tucked in a corner which definitely helped. Food was alright. My husband had the Alfredo and I had pizza. Our daughters had the kids meals, which for $2.00 on a Tuesday is an amazing deal! However, there was a few issues with the food. Our salads took forever to come, then when the did our meals followed right behind them. So by the time we finished our salad, my husbands pasta was cold. With the salad being all you can eat, he opt to get a second bowl of salad and then just bring home his pasta to reheat later instead of eating it cold. I had pizza with the cauliflower crush. When it came out it was severely under cooked. The shredded cheese on top wasn’t melted at all, mushrooms were still raw/hard. I usually don’t bother complaining about food but no one wants to eat pizza with no melted shredded cheese. So I did ask if they could pop it in a little while longer. When I pointed it out, the staff member saw right away how undercooked it was, apologized and brought it back right away. This worked not for me as I had time to finish my salad. The manager came over and apologized as well and saying it never should have been sent out that undercooked. He had them remake it and we had to wait a little bit but that’s fine. My pizza was at least hot when it came. The remade pizza was delicious. Both the staff member and manager handled it extremely well. All in all, not sure we will go back. It’s usually our go to for Tuesday nights as we usually go before the movie extra scene points and $2.09 kids meals are a huge win! But moving forward I think we will just go to Boston Pizza. While the mishap was handled well, it made us late for our movie, and my husband didn’t even eat any of his pasta. In the last few years experiences with the Milton East Side have gone down.
East side Mario’s is my favourite. The bread and Italian wedding soup are the reason I come but the server was too busy to get them to us. I asked for water and it never came. I asked for ketchup for my daughter’s fries and it didn’t come so she wouldn’t eat them. Couldnt get the servers attention. Waited long to be seated, even with a reservation, waited long to get food. Ended up having to leave almost right after the food came because we had been there for hours and my daughter needed to get home for bed. I still love east side Mario’s, just won’t go for a special occasion anymore.
My family usually love going to east side Mario’s to celebrate birthdays. This was the worst experience we have ever had. It took more than 20 minutes before someone came to take our order. My chicken parm sandwich which usually comes with roasted garlic aioli on an ACE Bakery bun did not. It was chicken parm in a garlic loaf no aioli a big disappointment but we had waited so long for dinner that I did not want to send it back. Not that our server even asked how our dinner was going. It was my daughter’s birthday I had to get the attention of a hostess to get our take out containers and finally the server came to ask about dessert. Our table was never cleared of dinner course. I had tried my best to neatly stack our plates to make room for the brownie Sunday. On top of the long waits and poor service the AC was not working. Was hot humid and uncomfortable in the restaurant.
