Description

This cozy, family-run kopitiam brings authentic Singaporean hawker flavors to the Bay Area, with standout laksa, kaya toast, curry chicken and crispy prata. Reasonably priced and takeout-friendly, the owners are warm, helpful and even sell ingredients with cooking tips. Casual kopitiam décor and group seating make it great for nostalgic Singaporeans and curious diners, though some dishes and drinks can vary in strength and sweetness.

Absolutely delightful! The owners of this restaurant are incredibly warm and friendly. This is likely the last place in the South Bay where you can find authentic Singaporean cuisine, especially since Nanyang Cafe has closed down. Be sure to try the Kaya Toast, Teh, and Laksa Mee Goreng!

Delicious no-fuss location for Singaporean fare. Went here with a large group for Saturday lunch. We had a reservation so they had seating for us. I enjoyed the newspaper-style Singapore comics. All the food was delicious and the family (it's a mom and pop type place) were very patient with our complicated group payment. I'm knocking off 1 star because our waiter suggested 3 appetizers which we agreed to, but brought out 3 orders of each of the 3 appetizers which is not what we ordered. We had only wanted 1 order of each. He did graciously give us some of the extra orders for free to avoid wasting food, and I appreciated that.

So happy to find an authentic singapore restaurant . It is singapore coffee shop style inside, casual but ok, I would be going back because the food is great! Very authentic laksa, prata too, delicious! Not the fake thin type, but thick with layers and crispy, the best I had tasted so far in US. Laksa too, premium thick soup. Mee Siam a bit weak, but my guy loves it. I would order nasi lemak next time and review again. If you are a Singaporean living here, it is a MUST GO place.
