Before SIP went into place, I went to Fortunes at least 2x a month with my family. The dim sum here is the best tasting and affordable in the Milpitas/SJ area. If you go on a Sunday afternoon, be ready to wait! If you go too early right when they open, you might miss some popular items because they're not done cooking yet. The parking situation can be chaotic b/c it's in a busy plaza. I love getting the hac cao, Shu... View all feedback.

I was super excited to come with my husband and his family for a dim sum breakfast. Sadly it was a disappointment due to the service. We had a large group and they sat us way in the back. My mother-in-law requested taro for my nieces to eat since they are picky. She asked 5 times before finally when our table was done with the meal they brought it. It was very frustrating because the girls were starving and being as patient as they could. Another reason why I rate this restaurant so low is how the cart people treated our table. They would just walk by without asking if we wanted anything: 1) to avoid being asked where the taro was 2) they were busy talking with people at another table. When they did come to our table there was no explanation as to what some dishes were. The food was okay. I did enjoy some of the dishes I was able to try. We also appreciated how they put our cake in the fridge to keep cold. However, if took forever to receive the bill but as soon as the the card was place they took it swiftly, only to make us wait forever for them to return my card. All in all I think I will pass on coming back to this place for dim sum.
Being out of town, we looked at Yelp for assistance. My wife and I were looking for Dim Sum restaurant and came across this gem. We went early because we had to be at the airport by 1:30 pm and this place opened at 11 am. The locations is in a strip mall and parking is at a premium. The food was excellent and the carts came around often. This place is a keeper.
I finally found my favorite dim sum spot. Located in fairly small plaza with lots of places to eat so the parking is tight and you get lucky if you find a spot. It doesn't look like much on the outside but inside is very spacious and very crowded. It is best to come before noon as there is a wait and after a certain time it seems as though it has less carts going around. I love the flavors of the dim sum here. It just seems fresher than most places we have been to and the variety of dim sum they have are very yummy. I love their fried taro and how they make thier shrimp balls. It comes out hot and fresh. They have many wait staff as well as carts if you come at the right time. Some of their dim sum they make into little animals which I find super cute for the kids. The price is reasonable but be warned they do charge for tea per person, which is $2. Even if you have kids at the table they will still charge you, so make sure you check your bill as it does add up per person. This place has been my go to lately since I find it fresh, hot and the wait staff is friendly and they cater to you when you need something. If they don't have what you want on the carts you can ask for the dim sum menu and mark down exactly what you want and they make it all fresh for you. Def a place worth coming back to.

I always leave satisfied and full. I took a star off for cleanliness because the bathrooms are a little gross for my liking and I always find myself wiping down the chopsticks, cups plates that are placed at our tables.
