Pint Pub Eatery (the) - Millsboro

This restaurant is now called Plate and Palatte. It has a similar atmosphere to the Pint Pub.

The food was good, but I found it a bit expensive. However, I really enjoyed trivia night!

Inside, I was greeted by a British/Irish-themed menu. My guest and I opted for the lunch special, which included a half soup and half sandwich. The Reuben was flavorful but disappointingly tough and chewy—more than I would expect, especially since I'm somewhat of a Reuben enthusiast. The Irish stew had good flavor, though both the meat and vegetables would have benefited from being cut into smaller pieces for easier eating, especially since it was served in a cup with a spoon, resembling a soup. My main issue was with the excessive saltiness of the food. Even for pub-style dishes, the level of salt was not only noticeable but quite unnecessary. On a positive note, the service was friendly and efficient, and the decor was cozy, set in a former bank building. I can see this spot being great for cocktails or beers. If I found myself in the area again, I might consider returning to the pub and choosing my dishes more carefully, but I certainly wouldn't make a special trip.

The service was very quick, the food was great, and everyone was friendly, especially Candace. She is the best and truly takes care of you when she's around!

The steak was cooked perfectly. However, the featured vegetable was simply a can of corn. The mashed potatoes had a gluey texture and were shiny but lacked flavor. The meal also included a side of soda bread, which was stale. Additionally, I noticed that the menu advertised dishes that are no longer available. Overall, I did not feel that my dinner was worth the price.
