Beautiful place, kinda feels like the end of the world. The store had nearly everything I needed, and the ice cream was good. Tent sites are kind of expensive, perhaps there should be a designated hiker tent area. Showers were lovely though. View all feedback.

Love stopping here I actually got to see a bald eagle feeding its young right on the bridge and then I was fishing for salmon then in the ice cave to cool off and in wintervone of my favs to ride byService: 5/5
A great campground with beautiful views of Katahdin and the river. Prices are maybe a little steep as they are per person, but it includes a nice breakfast and clean restrooms/showers. Everybody who works there is SO friendly and accommodating. Only things to note are the bathrooms didn't have hand soap, and try to avoid sites 13 15 they are right next to the bridge and truck traffic is loud throughout the night!
4-wheel drive car needed to reach the campground. (Not a negative). Impossible to reach via phone (possibly disconnected number). Website domain has expired. We were able to camp across the street but it took extra coordination.
