We found everything we tried to be a bit too salty. We tend to limit our salt intake due to high blood pressure and felt that many dishes could benefit from less salt. However, everything was fresh, from the chips and guacamole to the tacos, all of which seemed homemade. They also offered vegetarian options for my husband and daughter, which was a nice touch. The service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean. W... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about El Toro Barbacoa:
the flesh was good (but through my skala it was nowhere near 1/2lb) other than that, we will not be local fans. the koleslawin was with the meat and made it very warm. the Broccoli salad was very dry. we have no chips for our bathroom, but no worries, it looked like slop and went into the müll together with the mac and cheese that had a terrible after the taste and gave us both angry. Another great experience here. Their brisket is great as well as their brisket cheesesteak.
Came for a birthday celebration. Excellent food and presentation! Loved our server Missy! We will be back.
Excellent experience. Unique take on some awesome southwestern dishes. I've had barbecue like this in Texas and New Mexico before. The smoking is of the meat really hits home. If you haven't visited this establishment... Make it a priority. Carne tacos are tops! Brisket was moist and super smokey. Chicken was large and tender.
Live local buy local. Dine in or pick up orders, the quality and service are always excellent. El Toro has been consistent since they opened and even through the struggles of these last 2 years. Our faves are the Cuban, the fries, quesadillas, nachos Barbacoa Mexicana and don't forget a Margarita and finish with Flan. You will not be disappointed.
Food wasn’t good. Just taste like “white people trying to make Mexican food”. Was looking for authentic Mexican tacos. Chicken tinga just tasted like sloppy joes. Was very disappointed they didn’t have yellow rice. They served white rice with black beans. Rice wasn’t cooked. This is the only way I can reply to you.I wasn’t rude to my server. I’m literally a server myself. I appreciated them taking the soup off of the bill. I didn’t expect it. I would of gladly paid for it since i did order it. I also tipped her appropriately. It is not her fault I did not enjoy the food. It’s no one’s fault but my own. Today is my birthday and I was just hoping for authentic mexican tacos. My fault I didn’t know this wasn’t authentic. I should of tried the brisket instead. It seems as though everyone whom enjoys the food here seems to all order solely that. Also it’s very funny for you to be so passive aggressive in your response but preach for me to be kind.Last but not least, clean your tables and chairs. They are sticky and absolutely disgusting. I think it’s the polyurethane coming off.
