This was a special occasion dinner for two. The facility is an historic homestead, circa 1800's. Several intimate dining rooms. The service was excellent, the wait staff's familiarity with the menu items is a plus. The care that went into the preparation and presentation was spot on. My husband and I were looking forward to a wonderful dinner and evening there to celebrate a special occasion. We both ordered Hanger steak with red wine sauce and potato purée-off of off their price-fix menu. My husband order his steak medium — it was so tough he could not eat it. The closet we've had in the area to authentic Italian cooking--which is saying a lot since we just got back from Italy. Really a gem of a spot--can't wait to visit again and try both new and previous offerings!
Most delicious gemelli pasta dish I ever had. Also short ribs to die for. Topped off with butter top cake yummy
The food and service were both very good. Went most recently on a Tuesday night and it was busy, the dining room felt a bit cramped. My particular seat was right next to the traffic of servers going back and forth, as well as other dinner guests, so I constantly had someone squeezing past me. I understand trying to maximize seating, but for my particular table it was slightly annoying. Aside from that, it was good, and I would go back
BYOB is a nice break for the pocket. Everything we had was excellent, but the duck breast is a must-order. And if it's offered as a special, definitely get the parmesan flan. Very interesting dish.
