Amazing! The food is very impressive, the interior is warm and cozy like a cabin, but open and spacious. The staff is very fast, friendly and has made the best recommendations. Very good meal. We tested the sandwich with Coleslaw and Fritten, roasted onions, Calamares. Prices are average. Very historic place and a warm atmosphere. Another room on the second floor. Friendly staff and good and fast service all the time.
What a great experience at Buckeye Roadhouse! After a hike in Muir Woods. Service by Jack at the bar was incredible, he made one of the best Flying Sombrero (mezcal paper plan) and Naked famous cocktails (mezcal paper plan w/ Chartreuse instead of Amaro) food was exceptional. Ham Jalapeno (padded) Skinned Mac and cheese. The bartender recommended adding the cheese-filled papilla pepper from their chicken shell to the burger, which completely mundane. The burger was rare on the rare side of the medium, as I prefer. The side of the spinach was also brilliant, torots instead of the usual over-garlic oily spinach. Amazing experience! Get back with friends! Also gigantic screams to Alex to the server to stop and check how my burger was. They have fantastic red fresh jalapeños, added them as a page per Alex recommendation! Great place with very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Thanks for the great hospitality!
Buckeye is top for Marin restaurants. Best experience is in the bar (if you can get a stand or a seat at the bar! Love that you can see the stylish 50s Roadhouse Vibe and a game. Eating in the dining room or terrace is also very nice. I can't order the Oysters Bingo, it's delicious. All they eat is quite accurate, especially from the smoked area.
We went here to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday and I cannot speak highly enough of our experience. We had visited this establishment before and loved it, but this time I decided to do some research of patrons’ favorite dishes. We started with the oysters bingo which we had ordered before. No question it is phenomenal and did not disappoint. However, we also ordered the chicken wings which I had read were tasty but I was skeptical. I mean, how good can wings be? Turns out, they transcended any idea I ever had of chicken wings: SO Smokey, juicy and addictive. We were quite full by this point so we decided to split the brisket with an added side of truffle fries. Both incredible. The truffle fries might have been the best I ever had. The martinis with blue stuffed olives and classic old fashioned are made to perfection. But, our server, Enrico pulled it all together as only the best server could. He was professional yet friendly and seemed to read our minds at the exact right moment. It was pure poetic magic. Way to go, Enrico and bravo to the entire establishment for creating a memorable evening for a special celebration.
