If you are the type that travels to another city and then eats at Applebee, you should probably skip this place. Old motel, no wifi, no TV, little shower. Very good Route 66. We loved it. What User doesn't like about Lassen Mineral Lodge:
We rented a kitchenette for two nights. Owner Jim takes forever to respond to emails, can no longer answer two words on the phone or in person (monosyllabic answers, no WiFi in the room and the restaurant is as fast as a phone line of the 90s (maybe even slower! , place is very old and in need of serious renovation instead of the different color layers, only the leaves were cleaned, the blankets were stinking, very b... The restaurant: friendly service, a creamy traditional cappuccino (it is so unpleasant if you order a cappuccino and you get a latte to go in a cup! But this is not what they do here), and a generous amount of butter for French toast. Perfect medium-sized eggs right. It's a good breakfast and I recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We ate almost every meal at the restaurant and their food was delicious! The location is only 15 minutes from the southwest entrance to the Lass Volcanic National Park. Hard to beat for convenience! The rooms were what you expect from a standard motel, nothing imagination, but a place to sleep between the days that explore the park. Good water pressure in the shower. We'll stay back when we leave.

You can calculate this type of money only because of the lack of accommodation around Volcanic Park after the 2021 fire (especially in Chester).
Wow. Completely blown away. Not going to lie, came here not expecting much. That added to the experience. The first thing you will notice is how friendly the employees are. You are greeted at the door with a smile and told to take a seat wherever you like. The meals speak for themselves. True small town American cooking and it tastes as good as it seems. I would highly recommend anyone stopping by the area to come in and have a meal at this gem tucked away in Northern California.
