Dirty windows, weeds grow around the door, etc. We then drove through the city and found 5 other restaurants, all with OPEN characters in their windows ALL CLOSED! What a strange city! Finally we stumbled over the golf club at the southern end of the city and went into it. You have casual restaurant, open to the public, and we have a big breakfast at a very low price. It was delicious! Go to the Golf Club at the intersection of the 1st Ave S and 1st St.
Funny enough, I had an amazing dining experience here, but here a non-so-large culinary experience. Why 4 stars? Let me tell you everything! We drove this weekend to Sweetgrass and we were hungry and were looking for some more cafe like in contrast to truck shop like, and from outside, Tanjo 's cafe fit the bill. When you enter, the Atmostphere is inviting and it was PACKED! Each table was full (which is always a good sign for fantastic food! . You had written a French toast and bacon on the chalkboard for $7, which you cannot complain about. So far it looks like it's worth waiting. Mirraculously, waiting was less than five minutes and we have a place. We immediately got a coffee, placed our order (we got both ham and cheese omelet with many vegetables and went to Chit Chat while waiting for our order. After some time had passed (a lot of time it was obvious that this little place was in a crisis. People who were before us hadn't had our food yet, and a guy next to us began to cuddle with us and showed that he was waiting for over an hour. Quickly forward over 45 minutes, and we have our order. And it was FANTASTIC. What we learned is that this was probably an isolated incident. They were absolutely muddled with customers and they were short employees. What was cool about it is that the girls who literally come and help their friends in this little town Milk River and once these girls arrived, tables that were up were deleted so the staff could get the orders out. And under the circumstances there were certainly no quality problems. I even got overhead that some people who have waited for an exceptionally long time got their food on the house. Short story, I'd stop here again, and I'd recommend stopping everyone passing the Milk River. The reality is, under the circumstances, the staff reacted, was gracious and apologetic and the food was excellent. The only reason I even told the negative part of the experience is that you could see how they reacted under duress and make it with the customers there, and thought outside the box to solve it. If I own this business, that's exactly the kind of staff I would hope for. In addition, they have free Wi-Fi and they have fax service (send or receive for $1, or free if you are a meal. This is a large small café and worthy of support.
