We ordered duck prepared in two different ways and salted fish eggplant. The service was a bit slow but friendly. The Peking duck was delicious, with crispy skin. The highlight of the meal was the stir-fried duck, which we didn't eat with lettuce but instead put it on top of rice. The restaurant appeared clean and well-maintained. View all feedback.
I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a child, and I absolutely adore it. While the prices are on the higher side compared to other Chinese restaurants, the quality of the food is exceptional and worth the cost. The owner may come off as reserved, but she is not impolite – she just doesn't smile or laugh much. The barbeque pork is particularly outstanding, albeit a bit pricey. The meat, fried rice, and noodles are all delicious and high-quality. It always brings me joy to be able to enjoy authentic Hong Kong cuisine here.
This Chinese restaurant has a charming and traditional atmosphere, complete with lazy Susan's for larger parties. Although there may not be a lot of front of house staff, the friendly and helpful service makes up for it. The wait to be seated and to receive assistance may be a bit slow, but once we placed our order, the food arrived quickly. The portions are generous, with a small barbecue dish and rice easily serving two people. The fish and black bean dish was particularly delicious. If you don't mind waiting a bit, the food is definitely worth it.

The food here is wonderful, but the owner could benefit from smiling more frequently.
Went here when we first arrived in the country. 11 years on, still go there whenever we can. Have tried MANY Chinese restaurants over the years. By far and away the best Chinese restaurant in the North Island. Great food, great service and good sign is that Chinese people eat there too. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting good quality food.
