What User doesn't like about Yummy's Grill:
The restaurant only accepts cash payments and has a convenient ATM on site, though with a high transaction fee. The waitress did not smile and the food was basic and simple. View all feedback.
To be front, this place looks like a dipping. but has a varied menu. I had very good potstickers. my wife had an excellent spy. bier selection is limited, but covers the basic styles.
The wings are the bomb!! Pizza is better than panther pizza, which is trash, I've ordered three times from panther pizza, each time I was more disappointed! But yummys! Anything you get there is good, yummy !!!!
I recently grabbed a few items here made a meal of it... battered, fried mushrooms, fried dumplings, crab rangoon, onion rings. I liked everything, if they either used beer batter, or fried the onion rings mushrooms a BIT less (if it is beer batter) it'd be a complete win. As it was I had the best non beer battered onion ring mushrooms I ever recall the crab rangoon was very good, not wild about their sweet sour dipping sauce, but I really only like the red kind, the orange is just not my taste. as the orange ones go tho, I think it's the best I've had of the orange. It has a pleasant minor spicy' undertone that elevates it. I may start to like it over the red.... I do like a sweet sweet sour tho, and this has sweet, but not sure sweet would be my main description of the sauce, but that tends to be the ones I prefer. I skipped the dumplings today, went w/ a small order of wings the Bourbon BBQ it was a good call. they are a weak 5... I prefer wings w/o breading but they were still good. If they had just been deep fried skins, sans breading they'd rate a strong 5 for me. I doubled my order on the crab rangoon (even w/ the imperfect s&s sauce), kept the mushrooms onion rings... all rated solid 5's for me. I guess Yummy's is going to be a regular go to' for me now Kinda stoked. Out here in the sticks, getting decent take out is... iffy. Yummy's is the opposite corner of our block, so.... easy go to. Gonna try some stir fry next time.
They really get a 25 points for being a BAR and they have NO beer battered appetizers/sides, but since 4.75 is closer to 5 than to 4.... they get the 5 I just wanted a sides meal' so I went w/ onion rings, deep fried mushrooms, potstickers Crab Rangoon Aside from the onion rings and mushrooms NOT being from a beer batter' (at least not that I could discern), sometimes if I over cook my (whatever) and am using a beer batter.... the beer part seems to disappear entirely... maybe that occurred? They were both very crispy, w/o being really overdone' which I appreciate, but if that was a beer batter they'd do well to cut the time down buy 30-60 seconds so the beer can come through. Tho to be fair best not beer batter onion rings I've ever had... a beer batter would make them even better and elevate them to the best onion ring period I've ever had... and I try them everywhere I go looking for perfection Crab Rangoon was very sparse on the crab, but to be honest, I did not really miss the crab... I dislike too much crab, so the 95-100% crab free Crab Rangoon' still worked for me tho a taste of crab would have been welcome, even if it were the fake stuff. the sweet sour( dipping sauce was good, but not really what I was hoping for/expecting it gets a 3.75 score Potstickers were great and plentiful, dip was a solid 4 a slice or 3 of ginger would have seriously elevated it... next time I'll have some handy All the FOOD was great, the sauces need a little work. Not bad, but need a little something extra Overall was happy w/ the $21.25 meal (plenty for 2 Oh and no, not a relative... but it IS a tiny town... but the pizza place here sucks... unless they've improved since the 1st week they were open. So, np doing crappy reviews if deserved, even if I know them. And I don't know the Yummy's folks tho her hubby's mom I knew liked. And the 2 interactions I've had w/ Yummy have both been pleasant. they actually do serve good food... bar food, mostly, but good.
