Silver Sands Pizza - Milford

My friends took me to Silver Sands Pizza to celebrate my Birthday. The pizza, a veggie Supreme was excellent as were the garlic knots. The pizzas are great but there are appetizers, salads, soups, grinders, dinners, Greek dishes, desserts and more. The staff is attentive and even sang Happy Birthday to me and gave me a slice of wonderful chocolate cake. Wonderful casual dining with something for every appetite.

It probably sounds insane that I am reviewing a pizza restaurant and am going to rave about their salad, but it is so well-deserved. Last night I was in the mood to take out something healthy for dinner, and since Silver Sands is right around the corner from me, I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Tuscan chicken salad and it was SO delicious! Normally I am underwhelmed by take out salads, especially from pizza restaurants. But every single ingredient in this salad was so fresh and flavorful. No sad iceberg lettuce here! I was expecting it to be topped with a thin, dry piece of chicken, but got the exact opposite. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the pesto flavor was so satisfying. And never mind the huge portion size- I had a huge portion of salad for dinner and then another huge portion for my lunch the next day! Such a great value for a little over $10. Order their pizza because it is good too but don’t sleep on the salads!

We used the Silver Sands pizza truck for my sons second birthday party. The owner and his partner were extremely friendly and accommodating. The pizza is excellent and was a big crowd pleaser. We will definitely use them again for another party.

Great small spot to get pizza! I like all the pies I’ve had thus far — from silver sands signature shrimp, veggie supreme, and meat lovers/ fort trumbull beach, Margarita, hot oil. Great price, decent size parking lot, quick service, nice staff, beautiful, clean environment.

This is a go to place for me. Most of the time I am completely satisfied with my order. Sometimes I guess depending on who is working that night the food is sub par but still palatable. That’s the case for most restaurants unfortunately. Oh well. :
