The best hot dog, hands down. I personally enjoy chili dogs loaded with toppings, but even my wife loves them plain. Jeff and his family do an outstanding job. Having served in the military for 19 years, I always make it a priority to stop by when I'm in town. I would even pay to have those hot dogs shipped to me while I'm overseas! View all feedback.
What Mike Dociu doesn't like about Mr. Mac's Canteen:
Food is great here, but the whole service and interactions at the counter with the cashier are a bit rude. Especially for being a cash only establishment, you would think the cashier could be a little more patient counting out the exact change for your order when your business is only doing it to get away with taxes. Great prices but definitely stay away from the fried scallops. They are the size of small grapes and are 90% soggy breading on top of that. Definitely frozen previously and no good flavor. My friend got a fish sandwich and fries which were clearly the better choice!! Would come back and try a burger or hot dog or a breakfast sandwich.
Favorite spot for a delicious breakfast sandwich. The Portuguese rolls are a nice touch and I always add a topper (hash brown) and the spicy chilly for a perfect morning treat. Can’t go wrong with the burgers or chili dogs either!
I've been here many times...the food is always great, and the prices are reasonable. I'll definitely be going back soon!
Wow travis is the most hard working teenager i’ve ever seen in a long time. we got up from the table and he cleaned it immediately. I even saw him open a door for a woman while walking out. great customer service to the extreme.
Chilli dogs r delicious. They actually have a nice kick to em.
