Scriptorium Cafe Milano Lombardia

Returned to Milan after 6 years and delighted to find Scriptorium still open and serving interesting, freshly-prepared and tasty food! We had a light lunch of sandwich and salad (both vegetarian) and some fine red wine. Oh, and a really nice cake! Our food was superb and included some ingredients that we have rarely seen used (black rice, puffed wheat). It isn 't all about the price, but our meal was very reasonably priced with generous portion sizes. We think there is something quite special about Scriptorium, the atmosphere, the small library, the great hospitality....we love it! We hope it isn 't another six years before we get back to Milan, but whenever, we will be straight back to Scriptorium. Grazie Mille G&P 'Rossi, always Rossi '

This place was so good I went back twice for breakfast. There was a wide range of options including pastries and sandwiches. Our server (whose name I forgot to ask) was very friendly and really welcomed us. She was able to provide recommendations on what to try. The food was really tasty and fresh I had the Hermione and Digestiva. Excellent value for money.

After our visit to Sant Ambrogio, stopped in to this small establishment (only a handful of tables but reading area available also) for lunch. No regrets at all! On the contrary, it was one of our highlights, especially because of the kindness of the staff and the fresh and tasty food offered. No unhealthy offerings here, and even the panini have individualistic flair. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

At lunch time in Milan it's not easy to find a decent place to eat. I mean...it's full of spots BUT...often too noisy, or overpriced, or both. What I like of this bar are basically three things. Very friendly owners, consistent good quality of food and more than fair prices. That's it.
