However, the lady at the service was very rude, laughing at our choices, giving arrogant vibe as she knew we were not-italian. Laughing out loud with other clients here was totally rejecting. Not good experience at all.

Though we had nev... read more What a miserable experience. After browsing through countless menus, my husband and I decided to spend our anniversary dinner at Montesoprano. Though we had never been there before, the food selection sounded good so we were excited to give it a go. Sadly, the dinner was an absolute let down. Firstly, it was exceptionally difficult to get any attention from any serves, and even when we did, we had to ask for things such as water and ice several times before they were actually brought to us. As an appetizer, we shared the eggplant parmigiana which was nothing to rave about but still the best dish of the night. My husband got what was described as a hamburger as a main and I got two different salads, reitterating that I 'd like the dressing to be served separately, so I can decide how much I want to add myself. When the mains arrived, we were in for quite a surprise as my husband did not receive a 'hamburger ' but simply a burger a.k.a. just a beed patty with some sad looking leaves as a salad on the side. After talking to the staff for 5+ minutes and explaining that there is no way of knowing from the menu, that their idea of a hamburger is just a patty, they agreed to add two buns and some cheese to the patty to make it an actual hamburger. Both of my salads arrived drowned in oil and dressing, regardless of my simple request. Thay took one of them back and redid it, but I kept the other one. I could 've overlooked this, but after I biy in to an actual rock in my salad, I was pretty much done with the food. At that point I was just happy I didn 't break a tooth. We showed the staff the rock (photo attached) to which they gave a simple 'sorry ' and asked if they could bring us some digestives as an apology. That was a rather sad apology, considering all tables received a digestive after their meal. I refused their 'kind ' offer and decided to end the miserable experinece with a glass of wine. I ordered their house white (4€ per glass). Once we received the check however, my glass of wine had magically turned into a 9€ glass. After asking about it, they said that it wasn 't the house wine that they brought me although that is what I ordered. After another few minutes of arguing they oh-so-kindly charged us the 4€ for the wine saying they 'll take care of the rest. Call me crazy, but since it was their mistake, I would kind of expect that. All in all, the decor of the restaurant was nice but that 's pretty much where the positives end. Will not be returing and wouldn 't recommend snyone else to either. There are soooo many better restaurants with a much better price point and quality in Milan so just skip this one.
