We got to the place with no problem and we left the name on the waiting list. It took about 20 min to get a table for two. And it was worth the wait! A rustic and cosy place with really nice staff. We order two pizzas suggested by the waitress and a bottle of sparkling sweet red wine. We couldn't be more pleased for the amazing pizzas we got (if you like cheese, trust us and ask for the borders of the pizza filled wi... View all feedback.
What Lisa De luca doesn't like about La Taverna:
This pizzeria only serves 50cl plastic bottles, so if a table of 8 orders mineral water, they will be obliged to take 8 small plastic bottles! In view of the extreme pollution affecting our environment, I find this unacceptable. Therefore I will not return. I hope they will reflect on this and change their policy View all feedback.
I went to this pizzeria after reading some of the comments here, but I had a terrible experience. Above all, I had booked the restaurant for 21:30, and we came there on time and they kept us outside for 30 minutes, no excuses were passed on to us. When we made our selection of pizza, we were told that they had no artichokes, I asked them to replace them with sausage. When the pizzas arrived, we immediately realized that instead of sausages they had replaced with hard cocks that they did not have, they had also left ham. The pizza was soggy and very salty Gower the real problem was that when we got the bill they got us 10 euros extra for giving sausages to a pizza removed ham and artichokes, and when we asked the owner, he said rudely that the sausages imported from Naples and the cost of money. Really? as if we came from another satellite? If the pizza is not great, I understand, but very bad services for customers is unacceptable.
We didn't feel welcome to this restaurant because of the waiter. They were very compelling to order, not pleasant, not fast with an error with a pizza where the person had to wait 10 minutes for his pizza after we were served. No discount to apologize. When it comes to pizza, they are quite good (only pizza as a meal and menu only in Italian).
So we went to another place, but it was so far that we came in, even we didn't know anything about this restaurant. Great decision. We were not hungry, so we had a retirement. When we ordered the Tiramisu, the waiter asked us if we don't want pizza, and we said we still think we want pizza. After the Tiramisu and the whole pizza were served around us, I ordered a pizza because it looks great and authentic. I thought I regret tomorrow (it was our last day in Milano), if I don't eat pizza from this place. The pizza is fantastic. Maybe the best I had in Milano.
We've been here before. We always come back because after a long flight everything we want is a good meal in a casually arranged and very reasonable price. This time we were two couples, so we ordered two green salads nothing special, but fresh green and cherry tomatoes. We also had 3 pizzas all from the menu with our own desired modifications, such as adding anchovies to one and ham to the other. All pizzas came as ordered. We added a battle of red wine and a glass of white and a battle of sparkling water. The sum came a generous tip at Euro 70. Next time in the area, we'll probably be back.
We had dinner in the basement of this very cozy place where Italian people gathered to eat. The pizza selection was extensive and we went both for the buffalo with tomato and it was excellent. The red wine from Napoli was also very good and service efficient. Desserts are presented on a tray so your eyes can select as well. The tiramisu was without any doubt one of the best we have had. Do not miss the homemade limoncello! When we were on our way out I noticed that La Taverna also offers take-away.
