I was so happy to find this bar/cafe/pub/restaurant close to my hotel in Milan. The staff was very friendly, helpful (with language), and efficient. The menu here is surprisingly extensive. I ordered a tuna salad and it was fresh and plentiful. I went for drinks after dinner and had a good time relaxing with the locals. View all feedback.
What Irene Fabbri doesn't like about Il Mago Di Oz:
said at this bar, hoping for a good experience and unfortunately we were disappointed. saw over 10 minutes without service on the outside. finally drink. not to stay as the menu with 2 different trips was somewhat confusing, not a great atmosphere. Maybe we have the wrong night. not overwhelmed View all feedback.
While in Milan, we tried several pubs and cafes for aperitifs, and none beat this wonderful little spot. It's in a local neighborhood, so we were often the only non-natives there, making it far more relaxed than the more touristy places known for their Happy Hours. And oh my the spread for that Happy Hour! Enough meat to please my meat-eater husband, and delicacies for this vegetarian. For the price of a drink (8 Euros apiece) we had dinner enough to be fully stuffed. And the quality of the food was perfect pub food. This little spot is one of the places we can't wait to get back to the next time we're in Milan.

We went here to get a little off the beaten path when we we shopping. This was a wonderful find. Classic local pub with excellent and inexpensive sandwiches. Cheerful, busy atmosphere and welcoming service.
Very nice traditional place , with a nice food and nice value of money , the open buffet per person was aorund 11 Euros plus drink , the chef thier an egyption called romany , he helped us and offerd tasty food .
As noted this is not a swish place but friendly service nice clientele on the scruff hipster side and the best happy hour variety we saw in Milan not posh but deffo the right stuff with a drink. Looking at other reviews it looks like you have to stress the not posh bit for fancy bites there are many places Milan is one of the best places in Italy for the aperitivo beat but we found this by far the jolliest Nibbles included 2 types of pasta, pizzas crisps nuts and a variety of meats and salads I know it's not meant to be dinner but hard to resist but get there early or it will be gone!
